Backups ensure that your important data is safe and can be restored whenever needed.
There are many ways to back up your MobiPOS data depending on your preferred method and needs.
In this guide, we will briefly walk you through the available backup/restore methods.

Backup:
- via CloudSync
- via MobiPOS Application
- via CMS via Web

Restoration:
- via MobiPOS In-App Backup File
- via CMS via Web

Retrieve Backup via CloudSync
With a Wi-Fi connection, CloudSync allows you to retrieve backups remotely.
This requires CloudSync license.
This method comes in handy for the following scenarios as well:
1. Your device is lost or damaged, and you need to restore everything to a new device.
2. You would like to retrieve your backup without your main iPad.
Retrieve Backup via Files
This method requires your main iPad.
This requires users to navigate through the Files app to locate the required folders to retrieve the latest data.
Retrieve Backup via CMS via Web
This method requires your main iPad and another device with a browser.
Backup will be downloaded on your other device.
This method is recommended for users with their main iPad within reach and would like to restore on another device with the latest data.
Retrieve Backup via MobiPOS App
Users are also able to generate backup via MobiPOS Application.
Note that this is not a full backup.
Stock file, transactions, setup, and customer information are included in the backup.
Images and archives are not included.

Restore via MobiPOS In-App Backup
Restore your iPad with the MainPOS generated backup.
Note that this is not a full backup.
Stock file, transactions, setup, and customer information are included in the backup.
Images and archives are not included.
To restore with a full backup, refer to our Retrieve Backup via CMS via Web or Retrieve Backup via Files guide.
Restore via CMS via Web
This method requires two devices:
1. your main iPad that you wish to restore with your backup data
2. another device with a browser, and has your backup zip file ready.
Make sure you have the complete backup .zip file before you proceed with this step.
Restore via Files
With the Files app on your iPad, you may receive a backup file via AirDrop and locate them accordingly on your device that you wish to restore your MobiPOS data.
